吉他、低音提琴、鼓以及薩克斯風(fēng)或許是大多數(shù)爵士樂隊(duì)中很常見的配置，而樂隊(duì)Greg Lamy Quartet賦予了這些樂器更多的魅力，并利用它們玩兒出了一些不同尋常的音樂。Greg Lamy Quartet是一支來自盧森堡的樂隊(duì)，在這個(gè)國(guó)土面積只有2000多平方公里、人口總數(shù)只有57萬的國(guó)家里，盧森堡人民對(duì)于音樂的熱情可真是不容小覷。在過去的十年里，盧森堡見證了超過500個(gè)樂隊(duì)和藝術(shù)家的產(chǎn)生。為了鼓勵(lì)國(guó)民對(duì)于音樂的熱愛以及本國(guó)音樂的海外推廣，盧森堡甚至成立了一個(gè)“音樂推廣辦公室music: LX”，來幫助本國(guó)優(yōu)秀的音樂人更多地登上各大海外舞臺(tái)。

Guitar, double bass, drum and saxophone might be the common instrument in jazz music, but Greg Lamy Quartet adds more charm in these instruments and they make some different music. Greg Lamy Quartet is from Grand Duchy for Luxembourg which is a small country with an area of 2,586 square kilometers that has a population of about 570 thousand. Although it is one of the smallest sovereign states in Europe, Luxembourg has seen the birth of over 500 bands and artists in the past ten years. In order to encourage people to play music and promote the music, Luxembourg sets up the Luxembourgish music export office music: LX to help more outstanding musicians to be on the international stages.

Greg Lamy Quartet的音樂一定不只是“爵士樂”那么簡(jiǎn)單：他們有時(shí)仿佛游走在爵士樂和布魯斯的交叉路口，有時(shí)又似乎帶著些抒情歌謠的意味，甚至有時(shí)你會(huì)誤以為自己點(diǎn)開了一首可以跳舞的swing音樂。這便是Greg Lamy Quartet所帶來的多元旋律思潮，他們的音樂有著無限的可能性，你永遠(yuǎn)不知道下一個(gè)彈奏出的音符會(huì)帶來怎樣的驚喜。但不管怎么說，Greg Lamy Quartet的音樂一定會(huì)滿足每一只挑剔的耳朵。

The music of Greg Lamy Quartet is not just jazz: sometimes walking around the cross of jazz and blues, sometimes playing folk ballad, sometimes you think you play a swing song to dance. That is the band brings multiple melodical climates. Their music has limitless possibilities and you never know what will be the next note to surprise you. Anyway, Greg Lamy Quartet’s music could satisfy each demanding ear.

樂隊(duì)中的四位成員已經(jīng)攜手走過了十一年，他們之間擁有著無法言說的默契，也在這樣的默契之中享受一起演奏音樂的樂趣，一起尋找新的突破，從而創(chuàng)造出一個(gè)只屬于Greg Lamy Quartet的獨(dú)特音樂氛圍。樂隊(duì)中的每一位成員在演奏方面都有著鮮明的特點(diǎn)：作為樂隊(duì)的靈魂人物，吉他手Greg Lamy彈奏出的音色清新純凈；低音提琴手Gautier Laurent對(duì)于音樂有著很強(qiáng)的敏感度，總是能夠準(zhǔn)確地抓住他想表達(dá)的那個(gè)音符；當(dāng)你一聽到薩克斯風(fēng)手Johannes Müller的音色，就會(huì)感覺到他音樂中的情感深度；而鼓手Jean-Marc Robin的敲擊精準(zhǔn)有力，為Greg Lamy Quartet的音色添加了更多立體感。

The members of Greg Lamy Quartet have played together for 11 years and they have the unspoken tacit. They enjoy to play music under this tacit and to reach new heights, which creates a unique atmosphere of Greg Lamy Quartet. Each member has his own feature in playing instrument. As the front-man of the band, guitarist Greg Lamy owns a refreshing and pure sound gives birth to multiple melodical climates; double bassist Gautier Laurent has a requisite sensitivity of music, which helps him to grab the exact note he needs; Johannes Müller has an elaborate and sophisticated skill in playing saxophone and he is good at expressing emotions through his music vocabulary; Jean-Marc Robin controls a fabulous technique of playing jazz drum and he also makes the sound of Greg Lamy Quartet much more three-dimensional.

在樂隊(duì)成員的共同努力之下，Greg Lamy Quartet取得了巨大的成功，他們?cè)跉W洲、美國(guó)、巴西等地的巡演贏得了觀眾的滿堂喝彩。同時(shí)，Greg Lamy Quartet 于2013年發(fā)行的專輯《Meeting》獲得了評(píng)論界和公眾的一致好評(píng)，這張專輯也成為了唱片公司最暢銷的專輯之一。為了表彰Greg Lamy Quartet對(duì)于盧森堡音樂在國(guó)際上的推廣，“盧森堡音樂推廣辦公室music: LX”授予了樂隊(duì)爵士樂類別下的“年度最佳海外推廣藝人”。

Characterized by an alchemical osmosis, the Greg Lamy Quartet is an accomplished ensemble. Their tours in Europe, USA and Brazil caused a tremendous repercussion. At the same time, the album Meeting released in 2013 received critical and public acclaim as one of the label’s best-selling albums. In 2016, the Luxembourgish music export office music: LX awarded them the Export Artist of the Year Award in the jazz category.

2017年10月，Greg Lamy Quartet在Igloo Records發(fā)行了他們的最新作品《Press Enter》（《按回車鍵》）。這不僅僅是一張充滿現(xiàn)代感的專輯，更像是對(duì)于一段美妙旅程的邀請(qǐng)?！禤ress Enter》這張唱片會(huì)觸發(fā)聽眾產(chǎn)生一種很豐富多元的感覺，既是印象化的，也是具象化的；既是憂郁哀傷的，又是充滿能量的。而這一次，Greg Lamy Quartet也會(huì)帶著這張專輯來到中國(guó)，開啟一段奇妙的音樂旅程。
